Dabney Blue is an uncommon indica-dominant hybrid, roughly three quarters indica to a quarter sativa. It results from crossing the legendary Blueberry with an unknown indica-dominant line, and its name nods to both its blueberry lineage and the bluish tint seen in its blossoms. The buds themselves are compact, grape-shaped and forest green, threaded with slender orange hairs and cloaked in a shimmer of amber and blue crystals. It suits late-night sessions where a tranquil, full-body unwind is desired.
Its aroma and flavor lean into berry-forward sweetness, with blueberry notes taking the lead and a subtle spice and nutty edge that lingers on the tongue. When lit, the fragrance blends earthy fruit with herbal spice, evolving from nutty spice to a richer berry-forward smoke as the nugs burn.
Once inhaled, the effect arrives within minutes, creeping through the body and settling into a pronounced sense of calm and full-body relaxation. A noticeable hunger often accompanies the high, paving the way to snack-a-thon territory before a heavy couch-lock follows and sleep beckons. With a THC range around 15 to 20 percent, Dabney Blue is commonly used to ease chronic pain, muscle cramps or spasms, nausea or appetite loss, insomnia, and chronic stress.
