Dess*tar, also written as Desstar, is a hybrid with a clear sativa lean that traces its lineage to Star Ship and Kali Mist. Potency is described as fairly strong, delivering energizing effects, though exact THC and CBD figures are not published. The precise sativa-to-indica balance remains undocumented, but given Kali Mist’s nearly pure-sativa heritage and Star Ship’s indica emphasis, growers and users often expect a midrange profile that can brighten mood without heavy sedation.
Many users report a calm, mildly psychedelic mental high that supports focus and can spark creative thinking, with potential relief for anxiety or depressive symptoms noted anecdotally, though medical uses are not well established. Dess*tar is not widely popular and remains scarce outside the American West, where it is harder to find. As a daytime-oriented hybrid, its serenity suits tasks that require alertness, and some may find the lift suitable for late-afternoon unwind as well.
Aromas lean toward hash and pineapple, with caramel underscoring the fragrance, while the flavor carries a fruity profile highlighted by caramel and tropical notes. The overall sensorial profile is described as caramel, diesel, hash, and pineapple in aroma, with fruity, hazy-caramel tones on tasting. Dry mouth is the most common adverse effect, though other effects can occur depending on the phenotype and dosage.
