Heavy Head is an indica-dominant hybrid (about 75% indica, 25% sativa) born from a cross between NYC Diesel and Black Domina, blended with Big Head #1 to sharpen its traits. The name hints at its mind-numbing potential, a strain many seek when a clear head is no longer desired and sleep is the destination. In the jar, the buds sit large and elongated, pepper-shaped and forest green, threaded with thin orange pistils and a dense glaze of tiny frosty trichomes.
The onset arrives as a subtle tingle at the back of the head and neck, gradually blossoming into a warming, soothing body buzz that settles into a heavy, couch-locked stillness accompanied by a blissful, unfocused calm. With a THC range around 15 to 21 percent, Heavy Head provides a potent nightly option for relieving chronic pain, cramps, stress, and insomnia, while also addressing muscle spasms and mood-related discomfort.
On the palate it presents a spicy citrus-diesel flavor sharpened by a sour exhale, while the aroma blends sour citrus with diesel and a peppery edge that grows more pronounced as the bud is enjoyed. The overall experience favors deep relaxation and sleep readiness, complemented by notes of citrus, diesel, pepper, sour, and spice that linger on the senses and in the exhale. The resin-coated trichomes and robust terpene mix round out a finish that’s memorable for those seeking a tranquil, restorative end to the day.
