King Tubby is an indica-dominant hybrid, approximately 70% indica and 30% sativa, created by crossing Caribbean Cookies with Street Guru. Named in honor of the legendary jazz sound engineer King Tubby, the cultivar carries a music-inspired aura that hints at calm and clarity. In practice, the lineage translates into a balanced first impression of gentle uplift paired with a soothing body warmth.
The high tends to unfold slowly, lifting mood and easing away racing thoughts, inviting a sense of expansive, creative bliss. As attention widens, a calm, smiling clarity can settle in, followed by a deep physical relaxation that sinks into the limbs and can couch-lock the body with a soft sedative pull. With THC in the 23 to 24 percent range, King Tubby underpins this potent combination of uplift and ease.
On the palate, King Tubby presents a sweet, creamy tropical fruit profile with a subtle vanilla spice and a diesel-like lift on the finish. The scent combines diesel and citrus with earthy and tropical notes, creating a bold, inviting aroma. The buds are fluffy and compact, small emerald-green nuggets with thin orange hairs, dark purple leaves, and a glaze of white crystal trichomes. Medicinally, it is frequently recommended for anxiety, stress, PTSD, depression, fatigue, and mood instability, with many users noting a grounding calm paired with an uplifting mood.
