Northern Skunk is a hybrid built from Super Skunk and Northern Lights, with Afghan genes adding a rugged backbone. It is widely described as Indica-dominant, delivering a relaxed, body-centered experience that contrasts with more cerebral sativas. The plant itself is a vigorous grower, producing large stems and a statuesque habit that can push up to about three meters tall.
In cultivation it proves adaptable, performing well indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. Indoors, flowering runs about 60 to 65 days, and many growers start seeds in June or July to align with a fall harvest window; outdoors, harvests typically arrive in October. The foliage features dark green leaves and purple hairs, offering a striking color signature as the plants mature.
Flavors lean toward skunk with hints of earth and sweetness, while the aroma blends earth, pungent notes, and skunk. On the palate it brings a cotton mouth, happy, and relaxed effect that does not hamper focus or creativity. Medicinally, it is cited for relief from migraines, anxiety, stress, and chronic pain, with potential help for nausea, fatigue, insomnia, eye pressure and glaucoma, headaches, PTSD, and related conditions. The THC level sits in the mid teens, commonly around 14 percent, contributing to the balanced, soothing experience.
