Purple Cactus is a heavily indica-dominant hybrid (90% Indica / 10% Sativa) born from the cross of Purple Hulk and Cactus. Its moniker nods to both its regal color and its parentage, while the buds themselves present a striking display: dense, oversized nugs with dark olive-green flesh and deep purple undertones, threaded with long orange hairs and a frosty coat of purple-tinted white crystals.
When you grind or break apart the flowers, the aroma comes alive with sour citrus and a potent, spicy-dank grape scent that hints at the resinous warmth to come. The flavor follows a slightly sweeter path, delivering berry-forward sweetness intertwined with lemony citrus and a touch of spice that linger on the palate.
Effects begin slowly but soon settle into a heavy, soothing body high that can melt tension and usher in calmness, happiness, and a craving for snacks. This strain is known for a nighttime, couch-locked descent into restful sleep, with a potent 22-28% THC range that makes it a popular choice for managing appetite loss, nausea, insomnia, anorexia, and chronic pain.
