Star Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid born from a cross between Pre-98 Bubba Kush and Sensi Star, a combination that emphasizes dense resin, a heavy body feel, and a classic kush backbone. In the spectrum of potent cannabis, Star Kush sits toward the high end of the THC scale, with many phenotypes testing in the mid to high twenties and some stretching into the low thirties, making it a choice for experienced users seeking a strong, enduring effect. The plant’s lineage and resinous profile give it that unmistakable kush character while delivering a deeply relaxing, sedative finish.
The experience begins with a lifted mood that feels calm and unfocused at the edges, gradually giving way to deep physical relaxation and a sleepy, stoney haze. As the high deepens, sedation can wash over the body and mind, sometimes tipping toward sleep if you’re not careful about dosing. These effects underpin Star Kush’s appeal for those dealing with chronic pain, stress or anxiety, insomnia, depression, and fatigue.
Buds present as fluffy, oversized forest-green nugs adorned with sparse orange hairs and a thick coating of amber crystal trichomes. When crushed, the flowers release skunky diesel scents with earthy undertones that hint at the rich flavors to follow. The taste mirrors the aroma: sharp sour skunk and spicy diesel, accented by a savory exhale with herbal and pine notes, complemented by a background of earthy, woody accents.
